All three models have IP54 dust and water protection ratings. They can subtract and add values, calculate distances, surface area, lengths, indirect heights, and lengths, as well as calculate volume. All have dependable accuracy with a margin of error of around 1/20 cm +/- on the 19.8m entry level model and only get better on the other two models with a margin of error of around 1/41 cm give or take.
You get a basic monochrome LCD screen on the 19.8m model with backlight which helps in low light and the step up models feature a full color backlit 5 cm LCD screen with graphics.
Each features a simplified user interface that has been designed from the ground up for fast navigation so users can quickly choose their function and take a measurement with minimal downtime.Each of the Laser Distance Meters offer several different measurement functions that allow users to add and subtract values and calculate linear distance, indirect height and length, surface area, total area, and volume. Each tool comes with memory storage for 30 readings, and an impact-resistant overmold to protect it from harsh jobsite conditions.
The digital auto-level feature is exclusive to the Laser Distance Meter 838 cm. This new functionality allows for a measurement to be automatically taken when the meter reaches a level position, increasing accuracy when measuring long distances. This feature is unlike anything available on the market today.
Expect the 19.8 m model to be available in February 2017 for and the other two models to be available in March 2017 with a retail price of for the 45.7 m model and for the 100.6 m model.
