AEG / Ridgid 18V Brushless

There’s a new AEG. (Ridgid in Europe and Australia is known as AEG)18V brushless

So far Ridgid has had a brushed 18V single speed

Its hard to tell from the picture but it appears to be a bit more compact than the previous model but this could be a trick to make it more compact simply by taking the picture at an angle.

The current model features that have been carried over are the same styling and the 3 LED lights at the top of the tool. Ridgids grip button on the handle activates the tools leds as you grip the handle. A belt clip is also included.

FEATURES

AEG’s next-generation Impact Wrench is now available. It delivers enhanced performance and greater control.

The wrench has 480Nm torque. It also features our Auto-Tight mode, which automatically stops the tool from tightening fasteners. In Auto-Tight mode we limit torque to approx 200Nm for better control and to avoid damage to less robust fasteners.

Please note that this tool is currently available in a Kit only.

The info I gathered is from the aegpowertools website and thats pretty much it. Other stats, such as length, weight and RPM or individual torque per motor speed, are not listed. Only other info they give is that theres a new Auto-Tight mode that automatically stops the tool to prevent overtightening of fasteners. In Auto-Tight mode we limit torque to approx 200Nm for better control and to avoid damage to less robust fasteners.

This isn’t an official Ridgid-branded tool. However, it has a good chance of making its way to North America. We will have to wait to see because there’s nothing yet.
