After spotting the AEG BIW 18CB3-0 brushless impact wrench a few weeks ago, I kind of expected it to make its way to Australia, but didnt know when. Well the answer may technically be never. Australia will get something similar, but better, with the BSS18C12ZB6-0 Fusion 6 mode compact impact wrench.
My thoughts: This new compact impact wrench is very similar to the non Fusion model that I wrote about recently, but gets 3 extra specialty modes and more torque with the Fusion branding. This unit has 3 speeds and 3 auto tight modes. These stop the motor from impacting once it starts. This is a useful feature to assemble smaller materials that require uniform torque. A torque wrench can be used once the fastener has been tightened using the impact wrench. This is a striking addition to the AEGs Fusion line. It features 3 LED lights, a retractable belt hook and 300 NM maximum torque.
It is not known when or if New Zealand and Europe will receive this new impact wrench. However, the chances are good considering the number of new tools AEG has released around the world. AEG France confirmed that the Fusion branding was exclusive to Australia, New Zealand and New Zealand.
